h_____
Folks, I'm not registered for the championship but am looking at doing the marshalls event. Can anyone advise whether I have left it too late? Does it usually get filled up quickly? regards h_____
Mrs Kipper
The Marshalls Club sprint is not part of the Club Speed Championship this year. You should have no problem in getting an entry as the event is never full. Kipper Fun is not a straight line.
Mark Durrant
h____ Why not do the club event on the Sunday as you do not need to be registered for the championship to enter Mark D Comp Sec
h_____
Mark, Do I simply need to be a member for that? I already have a nat B? I may go down this route, or look for something later in the year. regards hugh
Area Representative Richard Price Posted July 12, 2006 Area Representative Share Posted July 12, 2006 Hugh, Why don't you do both days! (I am, and I'm sure a number of others will be doing both days) For the club event on the Sunday, you need to be a member of the club and hold a Nat B licence (or higher). I've just been reading the regulations for the marshalls event on the Saturday, and I think there is an error, in the regulations! Whilst they specifically state that there are 6 classes for members of the Lotus 7 Club, we aren't listed in section 4 as either an invited championship or club! I'm sure it's just an oversight, and I know a number of people compete in the May event and I'd guess that they only belonged to our club.
h_____
Tempting though it is, I'm trying to balance with a racing calendar. I'm trying to get a caterham friend involved in motorsport, so am looking to get him along to a sprint that we can do in a day. I'll look into the marshalling event on the sunday a bit more then..... thanks for the help - may be more questions to follow.
