Marius Posted February 11, 2002 Share Posted February 11, 2002 I ditched my old alloy-gearknob and now I´m looking for a smart new one. I love the look of the R500-alloy-knob BUT does it fit onto the large thread of the Quaife-quick-shift-stick ? The standard stick from Caterham has a slightly smaller thread but comes with a kind of adaptor to suit knobs with a larger thread. What thread does the R500-alloy-knob have ? Or does anyone know of a similiar looking one which does fit ? Stupid question, I know.... Marius P.S.: I´ve got a 5speed sc-cr Quaife box, not the 6speed. sjwb Posted February 12, 2002 Share Posted February 12, 2002 Just fitted a Momo one to mine, ala Evo 6. That little bit of extra leverage has done wonders over the std ball type. wag Posted February 13, 2002 Share Posted February 13, 2002 I got the rather nice caterham sp one for my sl but it did not fit. Factory said engineering cock up. The tapped hole was too small and I had to drill it out and re-tap it.
