Dickie Normuss Posted July 3, 2006 Share Posted July 3, 2006 I've wired in a cigarette lighter socket to power the bulletcam instead of the 12v pack that comes with it but now I'm concerned that because it's straight off the battery it could be upto 14v when driving, will this be ok or will I fry the camera Seek forgiveness, not permission. There have been reports of them frying, and the RF ones now come with a warning that you should only use a regulated supply.
