Doug
In case anyone is interested, I am selling an Audio Alchemy DDE 1.1 DAC. This extraordinary device plugs into the digital (Coaxial) output on your CD player and bypasses the CD player's own internal DAC. The result is a sound that could easily come from a top-end player, at a fraction of the price! New, it cost £500 but I'll sell it for £150, or thereabouts. It's boxed and in immaculate condition. I'm only selling because I've bought a SACD player. Edited by - Doug on 8 Jul 2006 08:55:
Martin S.
Hmmm have to say im tempted.....will check if my Marantz player has the required output. Is it a normal type CO-Ax connector im looking for or a BNC? Oh & WTF is a SACD player
Doug
It's a single normal phono-style coaxial connector, sometimes with an orange coloured centre. I'll throw in a good quality cable, to connect the DAC to your CD player too if that helps! SACD is "super audio compact disc" and is similar to DVD. It's used primarily on home cinema systems but can be used for audio too. Cheers Doug Edited by - Doug on 29 Jun 2006 13:40:
