Engine out and a slot with DVA booked for 9th July - fingers crossed it's just a case of new bearings. If the crank is damaged then I won't be sprinting on 15th July ☹️. I looked at a '97 "Caterham" gauged car this week which was absent of the kph scale Is it possible that this is a new requirement and that Caterham branded gauges have at some stage been modified to comply with later regs? JonathanP Posted June 30, 2006 Share Posted June 30, 2006 Although I have yet to find any evidence of speedo being checked in MOT, apparently the Road Vehicles (Construction And Use) Regulations 1986 states that the speedo "If vehicle first used on or after 1.4.84, must be capable of indicating speed in mph and kph".
