An Exige with the centre section of the roof, between the windscreen and the rear roll bar, removed, and then the roof in place over the engine, as per the standard Exige. When did that happen, eh? nickaddison Posted June 23, 2006 Share Posted June 23, 2006 The middle section of the roof is structurally very similar to the removable hard top of an Elise, with the air intake being cosmetic except on the S where it feeds the supercharger (so taking it off would presumably not be that clever) Personally I think if you want to take the roof off you should have an Elise FireBlade pilot and Regalia Manager Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Miura Posted June 29, 2006 Share Posted June 29, 2006 Well, as the Exige is derivative of the Elise, I guess it was too expensive/useless anyway to develop a one piece windscreen frame/roof assembly. So as the roof remains a separate component why not make it removable anyway as long as it does not compromise rigidity 🤔 AFAIAC, if I had an Exihge, I'd rather have a rollcage than a removable roof ...
