DohNut
The problem is - as far as I can make out- the two diagonal chassis bars that run approximately paralell to the A-Frame ie they join the chassis at the sideskin and come rearwards and inwards at about 45 degrees and join to the chassis cross member at the front of the fuel tank. On the early cars these tubes are only separated by 6inches or so. The later cars with wider butress has tubes that are separated by 8-10??? inches. This allows the later, wider butress to drop down in the gap between the tubes This can be bodged by ride height. Try photo 2120089 here
Molecular--Bob
Just phoned parts desk and found out that my A-frame is indeed not going to fit, and neither are any of the ones available. only the seperate diagonals will fit, and they have to be specially made 🙆🏻 infact 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 as my old bits went in the skip. Any idea how long a"special order" will take to turn up, given the state of play between Arch and caterham . Despite my car being ordered around march '91 and having a '91 chassis plate this is a 1990 spec chassis, must have been lying around waiting to be used. Peter T
I have just binned a good de-tube that was your spec. That was an early A frame design, so you might have a couple of weeks wait while Bruce makes you one. ☹️ R500 Mango Madness
