TomFussey Posted June 6, 2006 Share Posted June 6, 2006 I've decided to sell my 7 after 7 happy years motoring (happy coincidence!) The car was built by myself and father in '98/99 and is registered on a T-plate with 5-speed g/box. It has done 20k miles (in all weather conditions) including 5 trackdays (it's just come back from a rather wet Spa). The car was specified for predominantly road use but has all the options recommended by the Club for trackdays, i.e. FIA rollbar (and Petty strut), battery cut-out switch, fire extinguisher in passenger footwell, adjustable suspension spring-seats and (Caterham-branded) Luke 4-point harnesses. Included in the sale is also a set of 4 Yokohama A032Rs (just legal tread depth) on immaculate 13" minilite wheels which I keep for trackday use. The car itself is british racing green with traditional yellow bonnet stripe and nose, and has the full weather pack including heater, leather seats, tonneau cover and hood bag. It has a seven grille and a detachable Momo flat-bottomed steering wheel. I have recently renovated all parts on the car that were looking tired; I have completely refurbished the front suspension (shot blasted/repainted/replaced where necessary) and had all 5 14" minilites blasted and resprayed silver and balanced on new Bridgestone Potenza rubber. The car has always been serviced by Caterham specialists (initially John Noble Motorsport in Chesterfield and more recently Kenrick Motors in Llangollen), and has just had a comprehensive service including replacement of the slightly troublesome starter motor and a precautionary cambelt change. £13,500 ono.
