Area Representative dikko Posted June 3, 2006 Area Representative Share Posted June 3, 2006 Around me, with various friends who have decided to sell after not doing too much with them, are a '85 Formula Ford, a gorgeous looking (Marlboro colours) 2 litre Formula Renault and an ex Paul Stewart Formula Vauxhall Lotus. All with good engines, spare gear ratios, numerous spares some body moulds and spare bodies. The FF is £5K and the other two are around £7-8K. Dick Dixon on 01920 871153. Mike C.
Do any organisers / circuits allow open wheeled cars on track days? Mad Manx
Archie Procter
I've seen a few at Spa, but not in the UK. Doesn't mean there aren't trackdays for open-wheeled cars, but I'd imagine it's a VERY limited market. The standard line in the UK seems to be cars which are capable of passing an MOT - i.e. lights etc. Having said that I never used to get any problems with my ex-Caterham Challenge car which had neither front nor rear lights, but it still classes as closed-wheel.
