A cracking good car this one for anybody looking for a nice SV.

I still can't believe that you are having to let it go Simon (as I'm sure you can't either). ☹️

Best of luck with the sale *thumbup*

Hi,

Having just seen a car today of the same type as yours I'm hooked. 😬

Could you tell me where the car is located 🤔

I am a newbie to the 7 life and have a slight(very slight) concern when I see from the website that the car was used at a few track days *confused*

Thanks v Much

Steve

Steve,

Purple Ronnie will be along soon I'm sure.

The car is located in Sandhurst, close to Jcn 4/4a of the M3.

As for trackday usage, I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Almost every Seven has been on a track sometime during its life - it's what they were designed for way back in 1957.

Think of it this way....the Seven was designed to be a race car that could be driven to an event. On the road there is only so much you can do safely to explore the "limits" of any car. On a trackday, you can safely see just what the car is capable of. In most cases this far in excess of what the driver is capable of *smile*

As trackdays are non competitive/timed events, although the car will be driven fast, its not going to subjected the sort of all out abuse race cars get.

And if you look at the numbers of Blatchatters driving ex-race cars - they stand up tp the abuse pretty well *thumbup*

The key thing when buying a 7 is to buy it on the condition, rather than the mileage or the age. Have a good look at the front and rear suspension to see whether it has been used in wet/winter weather (the powder coating will start to show some rust, particularly the rear driveshafts), but this is easily touched up.

As your first 7 you will also notice many more noises than you are used to hearing in a normal car - the engine (tappets, air intake and exhaust) as well as transmission and gear noise. You quickly get used to them and they are perfectly normal.

Trackdays are nothing to worry about as the car is light enough that the brakes aren't overworked and the engine can easily take it.
