Steering wheel swap

Nifty

Recommended Posts

I have two steering wheels, both 10".

One is Sparco black suede, the other Momo black leather.

I want the sudede one for track work but want to be able to use the kleather one when on a long run where I might get caught in rain.

Unfortunately they have diametrically opposed drillings for the boss which bu99ers me for swapping between the two easily (I'd need to turn the steering column through 180 degrees between wheels or run with one upside down *thumbdown*)

Does anyone have either a Sparco 10" leather they would swap for the Momo 10" leather .. or .. a Momo 10" suede that they would swap for a Sparco 10" suede (black obviously), so I can switch between wheels easily.

Both wheels are in good condition and would want to swap for like condition.

If anyone can help then I can send pictures.

Cheers,

Nifty.

We (Ernie Panks et moi, T/A Cynghala Engineering Solutions) are considering manufacturing a universal quick reklease mechanism but I thought I'd try the easier route to solve the immediate problem. *thumbup*

Kev,

I assume this is on a Caterham and therefore is drilled to fit the Caterham boss.

If so that would be fine, assuming it's in decent nick *tongue* *thumbup*

Are the drillings countersunk?

(The Momo is countersunk)

The Momo is as good as new - only bought it a few weeks ago from someone who used it for SVA only .. didn't cotton on to the different bolt hole positions, otherwise I'd use it myself.

Do you want to go ahead with a swap?

Any chnace you could send me an E-mail address with the address to which you want it posted (I know I have your Bristol address somewhere but can't locate it offhand).

Nifty,

I would not describe it as perfect. It has a few scuffs on it.

The holes are countersunk though.

I am not back in the UK until Thursday, so can send some pictures if you like before you decide?
