Torque settings for front suspension

Hopefully a quick question about torque settings for front suspension.

My car is an early Di Dion with trunions on the uprights. Now what is the correct torque setting for the front and rear lower wishbone mounts ?

The build manual seems to suggest 45 lb/ft but the owners guide if I'm reading it right say's 60. I have used 45 as 60 seemed to deform the rubber bush on the wishbone?

Ok one more, How do you torque up the upper damper to wishbone mount ? I guess I need a socket with a 3/8th's allen key bit but there's no room to clear the body work. What's the trick here ?

I went for 45lbs on the wishbones.

I managed to torque the upper damper, by using an allen key socket and an extension bar. The body work around there is reasonably flexi, so I taped some thin plastic around the hole where the shock mounts, then pushed the socket on.

Older cars have a bolt that holds the shocker on, not a cap head as the newer cars have. So to get the bolt out, you had to flex the body work, so it won't do any damage, as long as you protect the paint work.
