Is this an acceptable tweak ?

The K series aluminium throttle body appears to have a maximum throttle stop. This stop prevents the throttle butterfly from opening fully (approx 20 degrees) and removing it allows the butterfly to go completely flat, the throttle sensor is no problem, any reason why the stop should'nt be removed.

Thanks

What age is your engine?

I replaced my std VVC ally throttle (38mm) with the new Trophy part last month (52mm). Both the new and old one go fully flat. Are you talking about the Metro GTi 1.4 type TB?

Sounds good to go full open but at this angle it really wont make much difference, but as you say add up a few little things...

If anyone wants an ally 38mm std TB then a small donation to NTL and its yours.
