Pagid Race Pads

Does anyone use pagid race pads on track and road, if so are they any use on the road, or do they never get hot enough ?

I use Pagid Blue pads on my Scooby which are excellent when cold but superb when warmed up. Not sure how they would fare on a 7, I'd have thought it would have been harder to generate the heat needed for optimum temperature.

 

If you are ordering any Pagid pads, there is a web site where you appear to be able to order direct from the UK distributor rather than via a 3rd party supplier. If this is of use let me know, I'll dig it out from my receipt.

If I remember correctly the Vauxhall race cars used Pagid pads. They're listed on the Caterham parts CD, 152 quid for fronts (4-pot calipers) and 143 quid for rears (2-pot calipers), probably plus VAT. Ouch.

I think the main problem is that my rear brakes are supposedly standard, but I'm told that standard rear brakes have gold calipers, mine are bright silver - anyone any ideas ?

I have Pagids - great all the time. Believe it or not they are the same ones that did the 'ring record 2 1/2 years ago! DOn;t tell Peter C, he'll have a fit about my inability to press the pedal hard enough!
