Harry Flatters Posted January 31, 2002 Share Posted January 31, 2002 Use a 4mm high speed drill - not to much pressure - first the rivet head will come off then continue until the drill enters the chassis tube. You won't get the back of the rivet out so before you put it all back together, squirt some waxoil into the chassis tube to stick the bits of rivets down and to stop them rattling. masha Posted February 4, 2002 Author Share Posted February 4, 2002 Steve - bravo and many thanks - 4mm drill was excellent advice (thanks kindly for suggesting or I'd have tried a 2.5 or 3mm first and made hard work of it (or worse still a 5mm drill bit and made a hash of it).
