Ford 5-speed gearbox bellhousing

Hi John do you want a type 9 gearbox, and is it for a Caterham, because a standard Type 9 is no good for a Late Caterham, You need a XR 4i Box with a long imput shaft and a 1" spacer between the Gearbox and the bell housing so that the Engine mounts line up with the holes in the Chasses I know this to my cost I had to buy a BGH gearbox because I couldn't find a XR4I Box, But if you have a four speed early Caterham and want to fit the five speed box then the ordenary Siarra Box may fit Regards Paul

I have bought an engine and gearbox that came out of a Caterham originally. It has the 1'' spacer on it, but I just need the bellhousing.

I assume your looking for a type 9 to Ford belhousing as the Type 9 to K alloy CC belhousing already has the spacer as part of the belhousing?

 

I've got a cast iron standard type 9 to Ford belhousing if it's of use to you?
