Rev Limiters

Crossflow with carbs generally don't, the ignition is controlled by the contact breakers (or electronic equivalent) within the dizzy. Timing curves is by bobweights and springs and the vacuum pot.

Vauxhall engines, even with carbs, generally do have an ECU as they have no contact breakers in the dizzy, the ignition is triggered by a crank sensor via an ecu which does the timing variation.

Rev limiters are built into the ecu if you have one. If not then you can buy bolt on rev limiters which watch the contact breakers and override them when you reach the limit.
