FIA rollbar again

Apologies due...I replied to a recent 'for sale' for an FIA bar, which I am looking for for both our cars but their is some uncertainty about what fits which....so the bar is probably still for sale!

 

I think I may have a problem finding one for our 1981 car as according to the Caterham parts books there isn't one for the pre 1983 cars, the difference is,I think, the tubes forming the rear bulkhead are square section post '83 and round pre '83.

 

This is probably to do with the fact that the 83 year saw the first long cockpits, so it may not be possible to get an FIA bar for a short cockpit LA Caterham of any year....I'm not certain about this.

 

As the pre 83 cars should be identical to the Mk3 Lotus 7, and plenty of those race, maybe I should be looking for a Lotus 7 FIA bar? 🤔 🤔
