If I remember rightly, the B&Q model was a lot smaller and the Wattage a lot less. Didn't actually try out though, so it could be okay... Muttley Posted February 4, 2002 Share Posted February 4, 2002 Has anyone thought about using something like a Clarke Jump Start 900, which is basically a portable high capacity 12v battery? According to the blurb in the Machine Mart catalogue it can provide a 400 amp boost to jump start a car or can be used as a 12v power supply for lights, power tools etc. Claims to last 50 hours, but I guess that depends on how much power you are drawing.
