Bangers quotNquot Mas1697456953
Is the roadsport rear anti roll bar the same as the superlight? The roadsport is mounted above the de-dion and the superlight mounting is on the bottom chassis rail. Problem is with the split mag's and cr500's the top mounted bar fouls the tyre wall at it's fitting point (only under cornering) so I've got to re-locate, hence the question. EFA
Andy, I think the bits are the same (the bar may be a differnt dia) but the most important consideration is whether your chassis is drilled to take the mounts in the lower position. If not, Juno do an underslung ADJUSATBLE!! rear ARB for about £150. Bangers quotNquot Mas1697456953
No problems Arnie, I've checked it and the mounting holes are there. Next battle is going to be with Caterham as they supplied the whole lot together. i.e. wheels/tyres came with the kit!! Just shows what a waste of time the SVA test is!!! Bob Corb
This happened to me too. I actually told them explicity before delivery and they said they would send the driver out with both parts just to make sure. He brought two std roadsport bars! I sent them both back and got the correct lower bar refered to as a Watts Link rear anti roll bar I think. The rear bar is £33 plus £19 for the fit kit (which I dont think you'll need just the long bolts). Your only problem will be getting the old bar out? Either several hours disassembling the rear suspension or a few minutes by just cutting through it. You'll probably find that the new lower bar touches the diff too. I ground 3mm off the bottom of the diff to make it clear. The new bar can be fitted quite quickly and doesn't require too much stripping down. I think the part no is 72121 (9/16" lower) as opposed to 72091 (9/16" upper). BC
