Welcome to my blog. I've not done one before, I don't really see the point, but I'm bored, and what better to do than muse?

Hopefully I'll be able to provide a few useful snippets of information, and perhaps a chuckle at my expense and misfortune.

I've owned Talloulah from new since 2008. I bought her in kit form, built her in a friend's garage, and, with a little help from a mallet and Lady Luck, managed to pass the SVA first time and was one the road within four months!

I ordered a Classic, with a 1.6 K-series, weather gear, Tillets, and road harnesses. Everything else was standard. The build was straight forward in places, requiring common sense more frequently than the build manual!

Since getting the car on the road, it has undergone a few changes. As with most owners, the desire to upgrade and tinker can become quite strong, so the next few posts will document some of the changes I've made to the car and bring the blog up to date.

Why Talloulah? If anyone has ever seen Cool Runnings, you might think it's named after the first suggestion for the name for the aluminium peril the team got as their own bobsleigh. But it's actually named after the Talloulah from Bugsy Malone, after whom my other car, Bugsy, is named after!
