A total of eight 21s made it to the Graham Nearn commemoration at the Haynes Motor Museum, which this year also marked the 30th anniversary of the launch of the 21.  Cars present included the 'Isle of Wight' car, recently purchased from its first owner and recommissioned by club member Toby Stephenson, and the 1995 Earls Court aluminium prototype kindly loaned to us by its creators, Roach Manufacturing.

I interviewed Jez Coates about the genesis of the car and the program's relevance to Caterham today, and also Graham's grandson Charlie Nearn, who is approaching the end of his first season in the Caterham Academy, and spoke of his memories of his grandad and the pride of his involvement with the Caterham movement.

One of the museum's employees, Joan Duncan-Webster, came over and described how one evening in 1997 her late husband, who worked for Caterham at the time, had brought home a 21 to take her for a drive. She remembered that the car was black, which narrowed it down to just one car, and by a stroke of luck it was present! She was delighted to be reintroduced to the car, meet its current owner and pose for pictures with it.
